-Weather is something we experience everyday and climate is more of a long-time weather condition of a region.

-Pakistan had torrential monsoon.
-Record-breaking heat wave along with a record-breaking drought in Russia
-Flood in the U.S.A

What experiences have you had with “extreme weather”?
- In Vietnam, it haven't had any "extreme weather" event. But several time the temperature went up to around 40 degree Celsius. And also, flood occurred in the Eastern part of Vietnam but comparing to the other places with larger damages, the flood and the increase in temperature of Vietnam is nothing.


What does the word “perception” mean?
-The way one person interpret something.

What is your “perception” of global climate change?
-Global Warming is not confirmed as the actual cause extreme weather but it caused the rise of temperature on Earth so it's basically one of the big factor that causes to the destruction of the Earth surface and the atmosphere.

Heartopia

Heartopia is about 12 billions km apart from the Earth. The shape of the planet is a heart which explains why this place is called Heartopia. There is only 1 continent that exists in Heartopia, Heartatou. The elevation of this planet is pretty low, from 10m above the sea level to 100m. Heartatou stretches from 90°N to 125° S and from 136° W to 124°E. The total area of Heartatou is 140,350heartometer (Earth language: Kilometers). This planet was created by all the extra loves that people from the Earth released. There are 3 layers in Heartopia. The one in the middle is the Loves Layer. That is where provide the Love Magma for all the volcanoes in Heartopia. The second layer is the Sweetheart Layer. This layer is pretty thin. This layer provides all the needed wishes. For example, the Heartian, people who live on Heartopia, needs a wish, they would dig in the ground and when they reach the Sweetheart Layer, they will be able to make any wish and there’s 98% that the wish will come true. The last layer is the Adorable Layer. This layer is where the Heartian live on.

Heartians were just barbarian. Different groups of different type of Heartians live in different places. There are 21 countries in Heartatou which is ruled by different groups of Heartians. There were no connections between the countries so the people from these countries didn’t really know the existence of each other.

2010, King Puddle was born. He was one of those important people in the whole history of Heartopia. In 2020, King Puddle decided to make a trip all around Heartatou. He found out about the existence of the other countries and then he decided to unite all Heartatou together. In 2040, a group of people found Heartianity. They went all around the world to spread it but it was never approved by King Puddle. But then, because of so many people started to convince King Puddle, 2060, he approved it so the whole wide world’s official religion is Heartianity. In 2091, King Puddle realized that the Heartians are not well educated. So he sent a spy to the Earth and found out that the people in the Earth were educated by books. So 2091 was the year of all the books. Due to the foundation of books, in 3012, the education of the Heartians leveled up. There are 12 diamond mines that are available in Heartopia. But somehow, the Heartians found the largest unlimited diamond mine in 3021. So diamonds were used to replace money. In 3032, the scientist, Dr. Adore, found out that Heartatou is covered by 4 main oceans, Love Ocean, Enormous Ocean, Rainbow Ocean and the biggest one is the Delicious Ocean. In 3048, the Unicorn arrived to Heartopia. The place where they came from is remaining unknown but currently, Unicorns are used as pets for the Heartians. In 3070, because of King Puddle’s death in 3069, Heartatou got separate apart like before but this time, each country has its own capital.

The Heartian people started to commit crimes. So all the president of each country decided to build an island called “Adorable-NOT Island” which was made to be used as prison for all the people that are thieves, murderers, etc.

There are two regions in Heartatou.  The eastern half is cold and the western half is warm. In the western half, there’s volcano. It was called “Mountain Cutie”. Every 4 months, this volcano erupt and it releases all the Love Magma which contains the all the Hershey’s chocolate. People collect all the chocolate after the volcano erruption and keep the chocolate as food. In the middle of the two regions, there’s a river that was caleld the Abstract River which is the main water resource for the Heartian.

-Political map - Maps that show the countries' borders
-Physical map - Maps that show the characteristic and elevation of an area
-Thematic map - Maps that are based on a theme.

-GPS (Global Positioning System) - a system that uses a network of Earth-orbiting satellites to pinpoint location

What I learned from "Family Tree" Project

Lately, what I have known about myself and my family was that I'm just an ordinary girl with both parent raising me up since I was a kid. I didn't really care about where my parent came from or how they met each other. And what problem did they have to face when they were trying to get together. But when I received this project, I started to look around the house for photos and video tapes of my parent. And somehow, I put them together with the old stories my parent used to tell me (but I didn't care back then) and I can understand more about their life and my family's traditions.

This relationship of them worked out kind of really fast. I did all the calculation and now I found out that their relationship would be the fastest one I had ever seen. My mom first met my dad in a company where she practice to do her accountant job. She met my dad. 2 years later they turned out to be dating each other. And then 2 years later they were married. 2 years later I was born. I was pretty surprised by this information that I received. I was also surprised about the fact that my grandmother got married to my grandfather when she was only 18. She had to get over a lot of troubles. But both my grandmother and my mom' stories were kind of a surprise for me so, I learned more about my family.

About my friends, they told me lots of information about their family and themselves. Which are very awesome. Example, Ivy's family was facing a problem with the vietnamese people and then later in the end, the people realized that they were wrong and then they gave her family a scholarship to go to Russia and that's how her personal family events worked out. And some other great stories too! Like Kristine, Shane, Duong, etc.

So this is a very valuable presentation project and I would appreciate it.
